Mangaluru and Vijayapura train flagged off

Mangaluru: Vijayapura MP Ramesh Jigajinagi on Monday, November 11 flagged off the Vijayapura-Mangaluru daily tatkal express, the first and only train to connects coastal Malnad region with Central and north Karnataka.
Train No. 07327 Vijayapura – Mangaluru Junction Tatkal Express special will depart from Vijayapura railway station at 6 pm and arrive at Mangaluru Junction station at 12.40 pm the next day.
In the return direction, Train No. 07328 Mangaluru Junction – Vijayapura Tatkal Express the train will depart from Mangaluru Junction at 4.30 pm and reach Vijayapura at 11.45 am the next day.
It will have stops at Bantwal, Kabaka, Puttur, Subrahmanya Road, Sakleshpur, Hassan, Arasikere, Kadur, Davanagere, Harihar, Ranebennur, Haveri, Hubballi, Gadag, Hole Alur, Badami, Bagalakote, Almatti and Basavana Bagewadi stations.
The train is equipped with one AC 2-tier coach, one AC 3-tier coach, six sleeper class coaches, four general second class coaches, two luggage and a brake van coaches.
The train service has been introduced on a temporary basis and will be operational till January 1, 2020.
