Mangaluru: Anti-rowdy squad of Panambur nab notorious criminal wanted in several cases

Surathkal: The anti-rowdy police team of Panambur on Wednesday, July 15 arrested notorious criminal Shammi alias Shamir Katipalla (30), who was wanted in several cases.

After receiving the information about his hideout the anti-rowdy police team of Panambur led by assistant police commissioner Belliappa, along with members of Panambur police station went there and arrested him.

Shamir used to attack the drivers of lorries coming to Panambur port, rob them, and run away. Apart from this is also facing the charge of launching a murderous attack on an assistant sub-inspector of police with a rod. He also had driven away after his vehicle hit a two-wheeler at Benjanapadavu.
