Mangaluru: ASI Vijay Kanchan wins President’s Police Medal

Mangaluru: Vijay Kanchan, an Assistant Sub-Inspector at the Kadri police station here, has won the President’s police medal for meritorious service.
Mangaluru Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar said that the officer has been chosen for his achievements in powerlifting events as well as an exemplary service record.
The compol congratulated the officer and wrote on Twitter, “Congratulations to President’s Police Medal for Meritorious service winner of Mangalore City Police Sri. Vijay Kanchan ASI, Mangaluru East PS.”

Earlier, the Union Home Ministry announced the list of policemen chosen for the President’s Medal winners. This year 2 officers from Karnataka have bagged the coveted President’s medal while 19 others have got the police medal.
