Mangaluru: Bike rider dies after being hit by car

A man died after he was hit by a car in the front part of the First Neuro Hospital in Padil on Monday, May 20.

The deceased has been identified as Harish (43), a resident of Kallapu.

The incident occurred while he was engaged in conversation on his mobile phone after parking his bike, a car coming from the Bantwal side climbed onto the footpath and struck him. Harish was thrown off and sustained serious injuries.

Although he was rushed to the hospital immediately, his condition did not improve, and he succumbed to his injuries.

Harish worked as a technician in a cable network company.
