Mangaluru: Bike rider fatally collides with parked omni while avoiding pothole

A bike rider identified as Ankit G lost his life in a fatal accident near the main entrance of Infant Jesus church on Sunday.

The unfortunate incident occurred as Ankit was returning from dropping off his friend in Kulshekhar.

According to sources, as Ankit approached the main entrance of the church in Bikkarnakatta, he faced a hazardous pothole on the road. In an attempt to evade the pothole and maintain control of his two-wheeler, he swerved abruptly, colliding with an Omni vehicle parked on the roadside.

The impact of the collision was severe, causing Ankit to be thrown into a nearby drain. Tragically, he sustained critical head injuries in the accident.

He was taken to a nearby hospital. The doctors declared him deceased shortly after his arrival at the hospital.
