Mangaluru: BJP supporter, State Haj Committee member attacked with hammer

Mangaluru: Hanif Nizami, a member of Karnataka State Haj Committee was attacked by a hammer on his head at Asaigoli near Konaje in the taluk here.
Nizami is reported to be a BJP supporter in the Asai ward of Manjanadi. It is alleged that the attack was planned by Congress worker Karim.
After the attack, Nizami was admitted to the Kanarachur Hospital in Deralakatte.
A case has been registered in the Konaje police station.
