Mangaluru: BJP workers from the party’s Mangaluru South office held a ‘silent protest’ against the violence perpetrated by Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers against their partymen in West Bengal.
After Mamata Banerjee-led TMC won by a landslide in the West Bengal elections, whose results were declared on Sunday, many instances of violence between TMC and BJP workers were reported from several places across the State.
The BJP had declared to stage countrywide protests against the violence.
BJP Dakshina Kannada district president Sudarshan M and BJP leader Vijay Kumar Shetty participated in the silent protest.
