Mangaluru: A city-based businessman has registered a police complaint claiming that a firm in Jaipur cheated him of Rs 5.73 lakhs.
The businessman, who trades in computers and laptop accessories, said that Manoj Chaurasia of Miracle Technologies in Vaishali, Jaipur did not fulfill the deal for supplying laptops.
Chaurasia, the complaint said, had supplied two laptops in the month of August.
Thereafter, Chaurasia’s assistant Suraksha Khandelwal called the businessman about the availability of laptops at cheaper prices. An order for 15 HP laptops was placed with the firm and an advance of Rs 5,73,750 was paid for fulfilling the order. However, Chaurasia did not supply any laptops, the complaint added.
Further, the complainant alleged that there were several instances of cheating reported against Manoj Chaurasia.
Meanwhile, police are investigating the matter.
