Mangaluru: Case against DYFI for assault on ASI during protest

Mangaluru police have registered a case against the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) following an incident where an ASI was pushed and injured during a protest.

On November 28, DYFI Dakshina Kannada District Committee organized a protest near Rao & Rao Circle. Mangaluru East Police Station ASI Muthappa Gowda B. and other officers were deployed for bandobast duty.

When protesters attempted to block the road, the police intervened. During the scuffle, ASI Muthappa Gowda was pushed, resulting in a head injury. He was admitted to the hospital for treatment.
