Mangaluru: CCB officials raid, seize marijuana worth more than Rs 30 lakhs

Mangaluru: Mangaluru Police recovered 1.236 kilograms of hydrovid marijuana worth more than Rs 30 lakhs.

Two accused, Ajmal T Mangalpadi and Minu Rashmi, were arrested.

The police conducted the raid based on a tip-off received on marijuana being sold in Konaje, Ullal, Uppala and Mangaluru.

Nadir, the main accused in the marijuana distribution and a native of Kasaragod, is said to have fled abroad.

The accused Rashmi is a doctor, and Nadir and Ajmal are friends. She was arrested by police when she came to the temple to deliver marijuana to a friend of Nadir.

Over Rs 30 lakhs cash, a car, and mobile phones were seized from the accused.
