Mangaluru: CCB police arrest 4 persons for motorbike thefts

Mangaluru: CCB police in Mangaluru arrested four persons on charges of motorbike thefts. The accused were involved in a series of two-wheeler thefts in various police station limits of Mangaluru city, police said.

The police have identified the accused as Mohammed Sinan (19) and Mohammed Sahil (22), both residents of Kasaba Bengre, Faizal (35) of Ullal, and Mohammed Sahil (18), a resident of Kanchinadka in Padubidri.

During the operation, the police seized six bikes worth Rs 2.15 lakh from the accused. It is alleged that the accused were trying to sell the stolen two-wheelers without number plates on the premises of a goods shed in Mangaluru city.

The arrested accused and the seized vehicles have been handed over to Ullal police for further legal action.
