Mangaluru: CCB Police arrest one person for drug peddling

Mangaluru: The Mangaluru City Crime Branch (CCB) successfully apprehended one person for selling MDMA, an illegal synthetic drug.

The accused has been identified as Harshit Shetty (29), a resident of Niddel, Kulshekar.

Police said that he was arrested while selling the drug in the Padil Kembar area of Mangaluru. As much as 25 grams of MDMA worth Rs 1,25,000/- along with a mobile phone and a digital weight scale was confiscated from him.

Shetty has a history of involvement in several criminal cases of robbery, assault, murder, arms possession, and other crimes in different police stations.

The accused has been handed over to the Kankanadi Police Station, while investigations to uncover other individuals involved in the drug network continue.
