Mangaluru: CCB police arrest youth for smuggling ganja

The Mangaluru City Crime Branch (CCB) police arrested a man involved in the illegal transportation and sale of the banned narcotic substance, ganja, and seized 4 kg of the contraband.
Acting on credible information, the CCB police conducted a successful operation in the Padil area under the Kankanady Town Police Station limits. They apprehended the accused, who was illegally transporting ganja on a two-wheeler.
The accused has been identified as Abuthahir alias Anwar (25), a resident of Goliyangadi House, Kukkedi Village, Belthangady Taluk,
The police confiscated 4 kg of ganja worth approximately ₹1,00,000, along with a Honda Activa scooter used for the transportation, and a mobile phone. The total value of the seized items is estimated at ₹1,75,000. A case has been registered at the Kankanady Town Police Station.
The operation was led by ACP Manoj Kumar Naik, with the assistance of Inspector Shyam Sundar H.M., PSI Narendra, ASIs Mohan K.V., Ram Poojari, Sujan Shetty, and other CCB personnel.
