Mangaluru CCB police nab two on charges of conspiracy to murder

Mangaluru: Two persons have been arrested by CCB police on accusations of conspiracy to kill members of a rival cattle trafficking gang in the Adyar area.

The accused have been identified as Taslim alias Garuda Taslim (34), a resident of Farangipet, Bantwala, and Hyderali alias Haidu (26), a resident of Ammemar.

According to Mangaluru CCB police, the duo was involved in several cases of murder, attempted murder, cattle theft, and other crimes. They were arrested in an operation based on a credible tip that the duo had hatched a plan to eliminate members of a rival gang involved in cattle theft and trafficking, police added.

Weapons including 2 swords and a knife, 2 mobile phones and a Kerala-registered Mahindra Pick-up were seized form the accused, police said.

A case has been registered at the Mangaluru Rural Police Station.
