Mangaluru: The investigation into the airport bomb scare accused Aditya Rao has reached the final phase and only brain mapping is pending informed police sources.
The charge sheet against him has been approved by the district’s Deputy Commissioner and only the approval of the State government is pending.
Investigators will have to go to Bengaluru to get the brain mapping done and also to get the State government’s approval. Due to the lockdown these two procedures have been delayed, hence, investigators have made an official request to extend the deadline for filing the chargesheet, sources informed.
Aditya Rao had placed a bag with a bomb near the waiting area of Mangaluru International Airport on January 20 which was successfully diffused.
