Mangaluru: The City Corporation’s chief whip Sudhir Shetty has alleged that local Congress leaders are deliberately causing the spread of false information on vaccination in the city.

Speaking at a news conference here he said that a former mayor and a former MLC gathered with party workers protesting the lack of vaccines at the Bejai primary health centre even though it was published in the media that vaccination at the centre will be done only twice a week.

“The Congress must work with the district administration and municipal officials to contain the spread of the virus and aid the vaccination program instead of falsely claiming lack of vaccines and protesting outside primary health centres,” he said.
