Mangaluru City Corp prohibits animal sacrifice in public spaces on Bakri Eid

Mangaluru: Municipal Commissioner of the Mangaluru City Corporation Akshy Sridhar issued an order prohibiting animal sacrifices on Bakri Eid at public places in the city.

The order comes in view of the existing COVID-19 and Unlock 2.0 guidelines to prevent the spread of the virus.

The order states that no animal sacrifices are to be carried out at roads, pavements, playgrounds, inside and outside the premises of public institutions such as hospitals, schools, colleges, mosques and public parks.

Strict action will be taken against those violating this order, the order said.
