Mangaluru City Corporation rolling out online payment of bills from Jan

Mangaluru: Mangaluru City Corporation will roll out online bill payment system from January. In the first phase, online payment system for water bill and property tax will be implemented. The link regarding the same will be posted on the Corporation’s official website soon. One can pay by clicking on that link.

Several changes have been made to the official website and some of the information on the current website  is incorrect which will soon be available in a new format. 

The online bill payment system was supposed to be available to the public earlier but was delayed due to a few technical problems.  

D Santosh Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Mangaluru City Corporation, said, “The highly anticipated online bill payment is set to launch in January.  Public can sit at their home and pay the bill online. This will result in less queue at the office. We will be adding more services soon”

Also, those who do not have Android mobile or internet system, token system will be in place so that property tax and water bill can be paid at the office
