Udupi/Mangaluru: Congress holds protest march condemning Guv’s sanction for CM’s prosecution

Mangaluru: Congress took out protest marches in Mangaluru and Udupi on August 19, condemning the Karnataka Governor’s move granting permission for prosecution against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in the MUDA case

In Mangaluru, the protest march proceeded from Lady Hill to Lalbagh. Several prominent leaders participated in the protest organized by the Congress party. District Congress President Harish Kumar, Legislative Council Member Ivan D’Souza, Prakash Rathod, and Ramanath Rai were among those who took part in the march.

The march concluded with a protest meeting at Lalbagh Junction, where hundreds of party workers participated, expressing their discontent with the recent developments.

In Udupi, District Congress also held a protest march, with hundreds of Congress workers in attendance.

The protesters raised slogans against the Central Government and the Governor.
