Mangaluru: Cop nabs mobile phone thief after hot chase

Mangaluru: In what looked like a scene from a movie, a policeman nabbed a mobile thief following a hot pursuit in the city.
As per the police few persons were creating chaos and obstructing traffic near Nehru Maidan here on January 12. Noticing this the cops decided to investigate the matter.
One of the persons was nabbed by the police who later confessed to being a mobile thief. Later the police laid a plot to arrest the other accused and made the arrested call his aide asking to meet at a specific location.
Upon noticing the police, this person began to run and the cops gave him a chase and successfully nabbed him. The cop pinned the thief to the ground and with help of locals arrested him.

The arrested are identified as Shamanth and Harish Poojary while another person Rajesh is at large.
City commissioner Shashi Kumar has lauded the cop for his brave act.
Pandeshwar police have registered a case.
