Mangaluru: Cops arrest nine accused in Rowdy-sheeter Pinky Nawaz assault case

Mangaluru: Police officials have arrested 9 nine people in connection with the attack on Rowdy-sheeter Pinky Nawaz on February 10 at Katipalla

The accused have been identified as Hanif (20), Prashanth Bhandary (29), Shakib (29), Ranjan Shetty (24), Lakshmisha (26), Nissar Hussain (23), Ahmed Sadiq (23) from Katipalla, Shailesh Poojary (19) from Krishnapura, and Suvin Kanchan (23) from Hejamady.

Polce also confiscated the car used by the accused.

Rowdy-sheeter Pinky Nawaz who is a prime accused in the BJP worker Deepak Rao murder case of 2018, was attacked with lethal weapons by a gang at Katipalla on February 10, Wednesday. The assailants had come in a Swift DZire car and had fled the scene soon after the attack
