Mangaluru: A Kadri Kambala ward corporator has earned praise from people of his ward after he got down into a manhole to clear stagnated water.

The corporator in question is Manohar Shetty. Following heavy rains, the rainwater had stagnated in the stormwater drain on Kadri Kambala road causing problems for commuters.

After workers refused to get down the nearby manhole to solve the problem, Manohar Shetty got down inside the chamber himself to clear the trash which was leading to the stagnation of water.

This noble act of corporator Manohar Shetty has set an example of how a people representative should be.
