Mangaluru: Court grants temporary stay against undertaking smart city project works in employees’ association site

Court has stayed against undertaking smart city project works in employees’ association site on Friday, Oct 16. The site belongs to Dakshina Kannada District Government Employees’ Association.
It is said the site is located adjacent to the building in which the association office is housed, and the association had requested the Smart City office to stop the work.
But their plea was ignored after which, a police complaint was filed at Pandeshwar police station against the managing director of Smart City project. Although they agreed to stop the ongoing project, they continued the work
Later, a suit was filed in the chief civil court seeking permanent injunction against performing work in the site belonging to the association by the smart city workers. The court through an order, issued stay against performing any kind of work in the site
