Mangaluru: DC launches surprise mask checking drive amid rising Covid cases

Mangaluru: Amid the spike in Covid-19 cases, the District Administration and Police officials launched a surprise mask checking drive in the city on Monday, March 22
The drive was conducted under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner, Dr Rajendra KV and DCP Hariram Shankar.
The officials visited Malls, bus stands, Petrol bunks and various other public places and warned the public to wear masks. Those who did not obey were taken into police custody
Several shops were also shut by the authorities for not following Covid- 19 norms.
