Mangaluru: Devotees gather in large numbers at temple amid Covid restrictions; AC conducts raid

Mangaluru: Despite Covid-19 restrictions, thousands of devotees gathered at the Brahmakalashotsava celebrations of Someshwar temple, Ullal on Monday, April 26
It is said that none of them wearing masks and they were also not following social distancing norms
However, Assistant Commissioner (AC) Madan Mohan was quick to react and raided the temple premises. He dispersed the crowd and sent all of them home
Earlier, a notice was issued to the temple by the tahsildar for conducting offertory and new chariot procession three days ago. Epidemic Act case was also filed against the temple
