Mangaluru: District administration bars entry to all beaches after 7 pm on Dec 31

Mangaluru:  In order to further prevent the spread of the virus during New Year celebrations, the district administration has announced that people will not be allowed to enter beaches across the city after 7 pm on December 31.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr. Rajendra K V said that New Year’s Eve celebrations on the beach or any other public places are not permitted.

Earlier on December 26, the Karnataka government had imposed a night curfew for 10 days from December 28, between 10 PM to 5 AM.

The government also banned all New Year parties and gatherings in public places.
