Mangaluru: DK DC directs people to remove names of deceased family members from ration card

Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Mullai Mugilan has directed the public to remove the names of deceased family members from the ration card.
It has been gathered that the names of 13,133 deceased persons still continue to remain on the ration card.
Stating that it is a crime to enjoy benefits in the name of the deceased persons, the DC in a circular directed people to remove the names of deceased persons by presenting their death certificates at the taluk office.
