Mangaluru: The Dakshina Kannada Zilla Sarkari Naukarara Sangha (Dakshina Kannada District Government Employees Union) has registered a complaint against the Mangaluru Smart City Limited (MSCL) for ignoring court’s order to stop work on its land.

A city civil court here had issued a temporary injunction in the case and ordered MSCL to cease all works on the land owned by the Sangha.

Recently, road construction work was carried out on the Sangha-owned land by MSCL without the approval of the Sangha’s executive committee.

The 45 cents land is at the centre of the city, next to the Mini Vidhan Soudha.

The Sangha has approached the court to issue a permanent injunction against any encroachment, however, the court issued a temporary injunction until next hearing.
