Mangaluru: DK features as Orange Zone in Centre’s new list

Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada district has been declared as an Orange Zone by the Government of India’s new colour zone list showing the districts in the country with the number of active COVID-19 cases in them.

The Government also changed certain parameters in the classification of the districts.

As per the new list, only three districts in the State are now in the Red Zone – Bangaluru Urban, Bangaluru Rural & Mysore.

Kasargod district in the neighbouring State too has been classified as an Orange Zone.
