Mangaluru: A 12-year-old boy has been saved from a life-threatening situation caused by swallowing a push pin

Doctors at a private hospital in Deralakatte successfully removed the pin stuck on the right side of the lungs resulting in health complications.

It is said that Abdul Mubassir, a resident of Bajal, had complaints of fever and cough. He was taken to a paediatrician who suggested an x-ray.

The x-ray revealed a pin kind of object stuck near the lungs. The doctors removed the foreign object and he was discharged within a few hours on Wednesday, March 17

Abdul’s brother claims that the boy was unaware when he swallowed the pin
