In a shocking incident, a woman allegedly killed her husband as she was fed up of domestic abuse on January 10 in Nantoor.

Hanumanthappa Pujari (39), a resident of Itagi village in Gadag district was living with his wife Geeta (34) in a rented house in Nantoor.

On January 10, a heated altercation erupted between the couple after Hanumanthappa, in an inebriated state, quarreled with Geeta.

This dispute escalated, leading to a fatal confrontation when Geeta, allegedly fed up of violence murdered Pujari.

Postmortem examination results confirmed that Hanumanthappa Pujari met his end through strangulation and suffocation.

Initially, Geeta had misled authorities, claiming Hanumanthappa’s demise was a result of excessive alcohol consumption or an unspecified ailment.  However, she has now been arrested.
