Mangaluru: A case has been registered against a man named Ibrahim at the Urwa police station in connection with a file tampering incident at the Mangaluru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) office.
The accused, reportedly a former member of the Talapady Gram Panchayat, allegedly entered the first-floor office of MUDA on January 7 at around 1:30 PM. Taking advantage of the lunch break, when no one was present, he searched for the required documents from the files on the table and made alterations using his own pen.
The incident was captured on the office’s CCTV cameras.
Police are currently gathering supplementary evidence and continuing their investigation into the matter.
