Mangaluru: A fire broke out in an old tiled house on JM Road in the Bunder area (Old Port) here on Saturday, April 6.
The fire was first noticed around 11:30 am. There were no reports of human casualties in the incident. The people in the house rushed out in the nick of time to escape the flames and fumes.
It is suspected that a short circuit caused the fire. Fire tenders rushed to the spot, and managed to douse it.
The house suffered extensive damage.
