Mangaluru: Firemen rescue toddler after grandmother gets locked out of flat

Mangaluru: A one-year-old child who accidentally got locked inside a flat alone was rescued unharmed by firemen here on Wednesday, December 22.

The incident took place at an apartment complex in Kadri on Wednesday morning after the child’s parents had left for work leaving the infant with its grandmother.

It so happened that the grandmother stepped out of the house and got locked out accidentally.

She panicked and asked her neighbours to help her in the situation whereafter the Kadri fire brigade was contacted. Four personnel of the fire brigade gained access to the flat after climbing down by using a rope from the above flat. The child was rescued unharmed.
