Mangaluru: Fishermens’ loans waived off, tweets Kota Srinivas Poojary

Mangaluru: In a tweet on April 24, Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary announced that the State’s Finance Department has decided to waive off loans of fishermen.
About Rs 60 crore loaned amount to 23,000 fishermen have been waived off by the department, the tweet read.
Poojary expressed thanks to Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa and MP and BJP Karnataka chief Nalin Kumar Kateel on behalf of the State’s fishermen in the tweet.
