Mangaluru: Former Principal of Roshni Nilaya Dr Olinda Pereira passes away at 95

Mangaluru: The Former Principal of School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, and noted social worker Dr Olinda Pereira passed away on Sunday, May 31. She was 95.
Dr Olinda Pereira born on August 15, 1925 contributed immensely in the field of education and social service. She was the founder of Vishwas Trust, Care for the Elderly.
Dr Olinda Pereira publications include: Understanding Children – 1,2,3, Sallak Publications – 1974; Adjustment and its Correlates among Pre-adolescents – Preeti Publications – 1977; Domestic Workers Struggle For Life-A.T.C Publications – 1985.
She was the recipient of various awards including Mahatma Gandhi Peace Award, McMaster University, Hamilton in the year 1979.
