Mangaluru: Police commissioner N Shashi Kumar informed that four accused in connection with honey trap case were taken into custody by the Surathkal police.
The arrested are Reshma alias Neema, a Beedi roller, Zeenath who works for an insurance company, Iqbal and Abdul Khader Naseef, who work as drivers.
Reshma and Zeenath contacted the victim on January 14. The victim who runs a transport business, was later invited to a house where Iqbal and Naseef assaulted and threatened the victim of filing a rape case against him.
The probe revealed that 5-6 people were involved in this racket and concluded that it is a case of a honeytrap.

He further asked apartment associations to collect details whenever renting the flats and inform the police if they observe any suspicious activity.
Adding to the sexual harassment case in the bus, Shashi Kumar informed that a file has been registered at the women’s police station and three teams have been formed to investigate. He assured that the accused will be traced soon.
