Mangaluru: Four MDMA drug peddlers arrested

Mangaluru: Four persons were arrested by the CCB police for allegedly carrying MDMA (methylenedioxymethamphetamine) in a car from Bengaluru to Mangaluru for sale.
The arrested Mohammed Rameez (24), Mohiddin Rashid(24), Abdul Rauf (35), residents of Kasargod and Sabita (25), resident of Bengaluru Madiwala.
The police team led by CCB inspector Mahesh Prasad and PSI Pradeep T R who received a reliable tip on the contraband being transported in the car intercepted the car near Padil and found the banned substance in it.
During the arrest tha police seized Rs 6 lakh worth of MDMA weighing 125 grams, six mobile phones, a digital weighing scale and a Maruti Ritz car from them.
The total value of the confiscated items is about Rs 9, 82,000.
