Mangaluru: Gold being smuggled in specially designed shoes caught at MIA

Mangaluru: Two passengers were arrested at the airport here for smuggling 405 grams of gold worth Rs 18.75 lakh from Dubai.
In two separate cases, Sukkur Moideen Kunhi (48), a resident of Kasargod, and Misri Naseemul Gani (44) of Bhatkal were caught smuggling gold.
The accused were smuggling gold concealed in specially designed footwear.
