Mangaluru: Illegal liquor making materials seized in raid

Mangaluru: A special team raided and seized illicit liquor making materials near Netravati riverbank at Uliya village in Pavuru panchayat limits on April 22.
The team seized 2.5 litres homemade liquor, 900 litres sour juice, 75 kilograms jaggery and distillation and other equipments used in the manufacturing of liquor.
A case has been registered against the main accused Prem Ferraro.
The raiding team constituted of Shialaja Kote, District Deputy Commissioner of Excise; Shivaprasad, DySP of Excise, Mangaluru Excise Sub-Division 1; Seema Ratnakar Rai, Excise Inspector, Mangaluru Excise Sub-Division 1, Pratibha g, Sub-Inspector and few other staff from Mangaluru Excise Sub-Division 1.
