Mangaluru International Airport received hoax bomb threat email

Mangaluru: A bomb threat email was sent again to the Mangaluru International Airport. The threat message was received in the airport’s email on June 18 at 12:43 PM, stating that an explosion would occur within moments.

The Chief Security Officer of the airport filed a complaint at the Bajpe police station. Security officials conducted a thorough search of the airport premises and confirmed that there was no cause for concern. The threat turned out to be a hoax.

It has been reported that similar threat emails were sent to 41 other airports across the country. The Mangaluru airport had also received bomb threat emails on April 29 and December 26, 2023.
