Mangaluru: JD(S) Member of Legislative Council M S Boje Gowda has expressed outrage against the State government here.
Speaking at a news conference, Gowda said that we have extended full support to the State government during this time of crisis, but the government has completely abdicated its duty.
The government has still not bought required ventilators and has not yet established testing centres in all districts headquarters, he said.
Labourers and rickshaw drivers are yet to be compensated. The government does not have information on the number of beneficiaries in each district that should receive the monetary benefits announced by it, he added.
Vegetables, fruits, flowers and crops are getting destroyed as the government failed to provide protection to the farmers. Rs 3,000 payment was announced for ASHA workers, however, now the government is saying that they do not have enough money to pay them. The government has completely failed in managing the State’s economy in this crisis, Gowda said.
