Mangaluru: Kambala Kare at Morla-Bola of Naringana village in Ullal taluk was inaugurated on Wednesday. MLA UT Khader reportedly provided financial grants to build the Kare.

The Lava-Kusha Jodukare Kambala, which was cancelled owing to unforeseen circumstances, will be held on March 25 and 26.

Venkappa Kajava, honorary president of the Lava-Kusha Jodukare Kambala utsava committee, inaugurated the new government Kambala ground on March 1.

Speaking at the event, Khader said, “Kambala and Yakshagana are the two eyes of coastal Karnataka. The next generation is in charge of safeguarding these traditions. Previously, this was held at Talapady by state government’s grant. Naringana’s rural area will now improve as a result of the Kambala ground.”

On Wednesday, Kudi Kambala for buffaloes was held at the new Kambala grounds. Buffaloes from various guthu homes participated in the event.
