Mangaluru: In a remarkable achievement, Arjun Kishore from Expert PU College, Mangaluru, has secured the first rank in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) with a perfect score of 720 out of 720.
The results, announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Tuesday, have put Arjun at the top among over 23 lakh candidates who registered for the prestigious medical entrance exam this year.
The NEET-UG exam witnessed a record registration this year, with 23 lakh candidates, including over 10 lakh male students, over 13 lakh female students, and 24 under the third gender category.
Uttar Pradesh registered the highest number of candidates at 3,39,125, followed by Maharashtra with 2,79,904 and Rajasthan with 1,96,139. Karnataka saw 1,54,210 registrations.
