Mangaluru: Lockdown delaying case against airport bomb scare culprit

Mangaluru: Due to the COVID-19 lockdown, the city police have not been able to receive permission from the State’s Home Department for filing the chargesheet against Mangaluru airport bomb scare accused Aditya Rao.
The chargesheet against Rao is about 1,00 pages long.
The police need to obtain a nod from the State government as the chargesheet includes charges under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).
Presently Rao is in judicial custody. He had surrendered before Bengaluru police on January 21.
