Mangaluru: Man uses 21-month-old daughter to smuggle gold!

Mangaluru: Customs officers at Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) have seized 1606.000 grams of gold, valued at Rs. 90,67,75, from three passengers arriving from Dubai between March 1 and March 15, 2023.

One among them was a man who used his 21-month-old child to smuggle the gold. In addition to concealing gold in his rectum, the man had made his 21-month-old daughter wear a diaper in which a pouch containing gold in paste form was hidden, the Mangaluru Customs said in a press release.

In another case, a male passenger tried to smuggle gold by concealing it in paste form in the waistband of his trousers, the press release added.

Further investigations are in progress.
