The CCB Police apprehended two individuals involved in the illegal sale of the narcotic substance MDMA near National Highway 66 on K C Road at Talapady.
Acting on reliable information, the police conducted the operation in Ullala police station limits, leading to the arrest of Mustafa (37) and Shamshuddin A (38).
The raid resulted in the seizure of 15 grams of banned drug MDMA, with an estimated value of Rs 75,000. Additionally, the police confiscated a digital weighing scale, an Oppo mobile phone (Rs 10,000), and a Samsung mobile phone (Rs 10,000), bringing the total value of the seized items to Rs 95,000.
The accused, Mustafa and Shamshuddin A, hail from Kasaragod and were residing in Mangaluru at the time of their arrest. The operation was carried out under the supervision of city Commissioner of Police Anupam Agarwal, Law and Order DCP Siddhartha Goyal, and Crime and Traffic DCP Dinesh Kumar, with guidance from Mangaluru CCB Unit ACP P A Hegde.
The accused are now in police custody, and further investigations are underway to uncover any potential connections or networks involved in the illegal drug trade.
