Mangaluru: Minister Kota visits oxygen refilling units; conducts inspection

Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister, Kota Srinivas Poojary visited Malabar, Laxmi and Karnad oxygen refilling units located at Baikampady  and conducted an inspection on Sunday May 9,

The Minister collected information about the demand and supply of oxygen and advised the units to take necessary precautionary steps to avoid defects. He also asked the units to cut down the supply of oxygen to industries and provide oxygen to the medical sector

Kora further said that the district administration decides about who is in need of oxygen and to whom it should be supplied.

Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rajendra K V, said that several officials have been appointed to monitor the functioning of the oxygen units 24 hours of the day.

MLA Dr. Y Bharath Shetty, Zilla panchayat chief executive officer, Dr. Kumar, and Assistant drug controller Ramakant Kunte were present.
