Mangaluru: Amid the surge in Covid-19 cases, the Mosque committee will soon open Covid-19 care centres in the city

Several leaders of mosques have formed Mangaluru Masjid Association and Ahmed Mohiuddin has been appointed as convenor of the association.

The care centres will be set up in several places like Bunder, Jeppinamogaru and Babbukatte

The association has met the district health officer Dr Kishore and is also planning to administer the vaccine in mosques

Also, as there is no provision of blood donation after receiving jabs, the association has planned to hold blood donation camps in mosques with the help of blood bank staff.

All India Muslim Development Council (AIMDC)-Masjid One Movement Chapter will offer training and guidance.
