Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada MP Brijesh Chowta stated that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has successfully resolved the Praveen Nettaru case, leading to the arrest of 20 individuals involved in anti-social activities.
Addressing the issue, the MP emphasized the need for a strong NIA presence in the coastal region to dismantle sleeper cells and safeguard BJP and pro-Hindu activists. He affirmed his commitment to taking all necessary steps, beyond his capacity as an MP, to achieve this.
Chowta also highlighted the urgent requirement to eradicate the drug mafia, which he alleged is supporting and encouraging sleeper cells in the region. He called for the swift establishment of an NIA unit in Mangaluru to address these threats effectively.
“The presence of an NIA unit will strengthen the fight against these elements and ensure peace and safety in the coastal areas,” he added.
